FINALITÀ

The course will help the students to understand the Bible message in accordance with the way in which it progressively unfolds, as God reveals more of himself and his purpose towards man. Both the diversity within the Biblical documents and their undergirding unity as the one revelation of God to man will be demonstrated during the course.

ARGOMENTI

Part One will focus on the following topics: a) Nature of biblical theology; b) Systematic theology and biblical theology; c) Unity and diversity of Scripture; and d) Relationship of the Old Testament and New Testament. Part Two will focus on some of the most important biblical-theological themes. Students will be asked to read some articles. Part Three will focus on practical aspects on how to use correctly biblical theology in preaching and pastoral ministry. Learning Outcomes: • The students will obtain the ability to articulate the unity of the biblical texts taken together, resorting primarily to the categories of those texts themselves. • They should learn how to discover the overall theological message of the whole Bible by seeking to understand the parts of the Bible in relation to the whole by the mutual interaction of the literary, historical, and theological dimensions of the various corpora.
