FINALITÀ

To help students to read and understand the Bible as it progressively unfolds, revealing God and his purpose toward humanity. Much consideration will be given to exposing an aspect of the inner unity between Old and New Testament, despite the diversity of the documents involved in the formation of the Canon. This unity will be demonstrated a focus on the covenant themes.

ARGOMENTI

1. Nature of biblical theology. 2. Unity and diversity in the Bible. 3. Relationship between Old and New Testament. 4. Five biblical covenants. Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students are expected to: Acquire a greater knowledge of the Bible, both its unity and diversity and, specific texts analysed during the course; be able to apply the same method to other topics as well as to relate the biblical theology to the ministry of the Church and Cristian life; have read the Prophetic literature within its historical context and within the Church as the living Word of God, constantly relevant for Christian lives.
