ARGOMENTI

To equip the students with knowledge of the development of the Church’s tradition in medical-moral matters and to provide contemporary knowledge of the Catholic bioethical magisterium, so that the students may develop skills needed for the resolution of difficult ethics questions in a pluralistic context through pastoral application of authentic moral principles. Main topics: Understanding Medicine, Ethics and Bioethics. Role of Catholics in the healing ministry of Jesus Christ and the study of the morality of human conduct with regard to life issues such as: new reproductive technologies, abortion, stem-cell research, cloning, genetic engineering, healthcare problems, euthanasia etc. The concept of the person and the moral principles that form the foundation of decision making when faced with new issues.
